Thanksgiving isn’t a celebration for everyone. For many, it marks a day of mourning and reflection—a reminder of the brutal history of settler colonialism that continues today, from Turtle Island to Palestine.
In this informal, family-friendly space, we’ll share sweets, stories, and a commitment to resist and restore. Come ready to reset our intentions with renewed purpose, knowing we stand stronger together.

Kids for Gaza: A Collaborative Fundraiser for Palestine
Fox Valley Citizens for Peace & Justice, in collaboration with the **American Civic and Humanitarian Coalition (ACHC), is proud to announce our second Kids for Gaza event on Sunday, September 29th, from 10 AM to 12 PM at Wing Park in Elgin, IL.
Building on the success of our first event, we’re coming together once again to raise essential funds for the Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF), an organization providing medical and humanitarian assistance to children in Gaza. With a $10 entry fee, all proceeds will go directly toward helping these children in need.
This family-friendly event will feature:
